Amen! My bikes dyno out at 185 and 193 HP at the rear wheel, a 2009 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 and 2010 BMW S1000RR respectively. In the winter, my riding jacket of choice is an Aero 1930s Slimfit Halfbelt. 1940-50's Horsehide thickness
First, it depends on the brand. After that, it depends on the production date of the jacket. However, I can assure you that many original early halfbelts / sportswear jackets were made with 3 to 3.5 oz. leather, and they are truly something to behold! www.insurrectionvintage.com...- Mojo1975

We do have the equivalent to a size 38 Aero Highwayman currently in our shop--The Vanson Enfield 40 in competition weight cowhide (if you're a 38 in a Highwayman, the 38 Enfield will be WAY too small on you!). ...LOL... Vanson serial #s are consecutively assigned and have absolutely no reference to the year that the jacket was produced. Regarding the thickness, they were all quite thin. However, I've handled probably almost 1000 in the past 15 years and you occasionally come across a 3.0 oz cowhide one and it's hella nice!!!
