I work in IT. I'm a Java developer at a large software/services company.
It isn't required for me. The dress code at work is pretty much:
- No denim
- Pants, not shorts
- Collared shirt
- Dressy shoes (no open-toed shoes, no sandals, no sneakers)
Typical dress is a spread-collar shirt...
I figure it takes some of the stress that's applied to the waistband when you move around a lot off the other button and the hook thingie. Might as well button it, it doesn't do any harm.
Same here. Plus, if I have it in my jacket pocket half the time I don't feel it vibrate (I never have it on ring in public). In my shirt pocket it's no problem.
Cabelas seems to be more into the serious deerhunting kind of stuff. I see less and less wool, and more and more polyester and balistic nylon in digital camo or blaze orange. No thanks.
Try searching for keywords with more than three letters. You might not be able to find rum, or a hat, but you shouldn't have a problem searching for whiskey or a fedora.
I have one. Not so much a journal as a text file on my computer, though. I write stuff in there that's not stuff I want to share on my blog, but that I want to get out.
Instant feedback, and low cost once you divide by volume of work will of course both improve the photography skills of anyone who cares to learn from her mistakes, because she can make far more mistakes for far less money, and learn from many of them within a few seconds rather than days or...

I've got some lightweight cargo pants (without rediculous numbers of pockets or huge bellows things; just an extra pocket on the side of the left leg and no crease). I'll wear them with a button-down shirt, either an off-white linen shirt, a very small lavender check, a light pink, white oxford...
I live in Dearborn and work in downtown Detroit, but I haven't been here for long and don't really know my way around too well. Still, I do know a little about the area.
There's a vintage shop in Royal Oak: http://www.lostandfoundvintage.com/lfv/
Also, a HUGE used book shop in downtown...
Because they can. The amount of extra profit they make by drastically reducing costs far outweighs any small sales losses they may incur as a result of moving operations outside of the U.S. Most people don't care. They just want a leather jacket, and never even look at where it was made.
There's some nice pre-finished stuff out there, but it's a different look. The individual boards are more distinct, usually with bevelled edges, etc. I've helped install a hardwood floor (pre-finished, but solid wood, not plywood; the installation is exactly the same, just minus all of the...
Careful with whomever you hire; I've met a lot of artists with a great eye for design who couldn't code their way out of a commodore 64, and just as many great coders who can't even pick a decent color scheme.
Actually, as an architect, you should understand that very well. You need to be...
