It seems like you and Rue have some great ideas already. Maybe add antique gadgets/books shopping with clothing?
As for the tea party, printed floral dresses with cardigans, hats, matching bags and shoes, and perhaps gloves would probably be appropriate as well as pretty. I searched for...
I have always been adamant about sending thank you cards, as well as hand written thank you notes with things I sold on eBay. I still send greeting cards, and have recently stocked up on supplies to make my own lovely cards.
I also believe in putting lots of thought to gifts, rather than just...
This one is a huge one with me, and lately it has weighed heavily on my mind.
I have friends that are less becoming so because they seem to view me more as what I've discovered is called a "backup friend." Despite my own busyness, with being a single parent to small children, full time school...
My mother told me that when I was an infant, we lived in a tiny rental home in Pensacola. She said she saw a woman in a yellow nightgown that haunted that place.
When I lived in an apartment with just my cat, she would sometimes jerk up her head and intently stare, wide-eyed at something I...
Thank you much! It seems my goal was accomplished (being scary that is). My youngest son saw me without the veils, and was just peachy. When the veils were on and I tried to pick him up, oh no, none of that "Come let Ma-ma hold you." He squealed and backed away. Hahaha! :D
I think it is all of that combined with businesses that okay things because they don't want to "lose" that costumer's business. Then with the internet and reviewing, there is that problem of embellishing and lying when a customer doesn't get their way (when they should not have). It seems to be...
I absolutely agree. People have come to feel that they deserve this or that or not to do this or that, etc. They have come to expect everyone else to bow out of their way. They are really bad when it comes to free things, discounted things, etc. I remember one woman coming to me and rudely...
I agree. I know my kids know that things in cartoons are not to be taken seriously. I have taught them that just because Tom and Jerry beat on each other, doesn't mean that would be okay in real life, that if it were to actually happen, someone would be very hurt or dead.
While I don't indulge...
Jergen's Original scent lotion, camphor, iodine. Jergen's reminds me of when I was very little and stayed with an aunt for a short time. Iodine, camphor, remind me of when I was about 4, living in Galveston. Also makes me think of mercurochrome that we had next to it...
I am dressing as the Dust Witch from Something Wicked this Way Comes. I am doing the movie version, as Pam Grier was dressed in the scene in which she is holding a spider, skin gold colored, and face covered in black webbed veils.

I put the primer in. You put it on with your fingers, between moisturizer and makeup, in a thin layer. Hope it works out for you. I keep getting those put in as samples, but that stuff isn't for me. :)
