A good starter hat....
Sorry to hear that Sir Wickets is gone, GG617! The Orange traffic circle must seem empty without it. There's a Village Hat Shop in Long Beach, at the Shoreline Village complex just up the way from the Yard House. It's a good place to try on hats. Go for the Campdraft, Shawn--it's a great hat. Mine was about $100 USD with shipping via airmail. No customs was due (I'm guessing Akubra builds those fees into the mailing cost); once the lid arrived in the U.S., the USPS picks it up and sends it on its way. This hasn't happened to me lately, Bill, but it happened with an old fishing hat I'd sometimes wear waaay back when I was in 7th grade. One kid would come up behind me and take it off my head, and then they'd play keep away. Used to irritate me to no end...and it continued until I lost patience...- jazzncocktails

Nice, NB! You took the plunge and you've got a good, functioning bow here, and I like the larger "knot" between the bow ends. It's a little daunting to take that on, isn't it?
