This is an interesting topic.
My first name is Larissa (pronounced Lareesah) and my middle name is Alice, which is after my great grandmother, whom is scottish.
As for what I wanted, I couldn't really tell you. I love the name Alexandria (if I'd had a daughter, that would have been her...
All I can say is "sunblock".
I can totally relate, 30 was my worst year. I had a midlife crisis...actually I believe I'm still going through it. Considering my family dies relatively young, I'm right on target.
A lot of things come into play for me. I have health issues that have scared me...
Woooo $80 dollars!?
What kind are they?
Well, I've gotten to the point that I'll pay for quality. The thing that sucks about undergaments is that you need so many of them. I like to have at least 5 or 6 bras, but I have a hard time coughing up 30 bcucks a bra. Shoot, I'm having a hard time...
I run about a 26-27 ( The inch flunctuates depending on the holidays, and how quick I lose it). I need the support because of multiple abdominal surgeries that have left my stomach looking like, well, sh!t (for lack of a better word).
Personally, I go into stores and try them on. I believe my...
Tomasso, I concur.I don't know...the article seemd very elitist (mainly the title). It would be interesting to see what her background is. The woman gets paid to sew (a book in prgress).
Women of the day had sewn out of necessity (my mother included), not because they thought it was cute. I...
AWWW how sweet! I'ts photos like this that make me wish I didn't have my hysterectomy...just for a split second. hehe :D I love the name Poppy...My fav flower!
Is it me or does it look like she (or probably her stylist) may have pinned them dry? When they are pinned wet, you see scalpage (lol is that a word?) or scalp cleavage. It looks like she may have used the curling iron and then pinned them, so they would be ready for a later event?
Anyone go to Corvettes Diner in San Diego? Totally 50s retro... A bit load (all the old music favs), if you can get passed that, it's worth checking out. The waitresses dress up in little waitress uniforms, some with fishnet stockings/tights. Very cute!
I have a flexees and I like it quite a bit. I think it's hard to get around some of the bulging without the heavy boning that comes from corsetry. Even corsets have to be heavily boned, so they won't create rools. I think event he thinnest beanpoles have the same probs without the right corset...
I agree...Where's the fat? I don't see it. :)
I guess I can underestand, though. My confidence is great, when the clothes are on...now when they are off, that's a whole other story.
I use to think I was big as a teenager, but after having a c-section and multiple abdominal surgeries, I know...
I wear my brown suede T-straps anytime. True, fall is best, but I never have been a rule follower. I wear long sleeves and cardigans in the middle of the summer because of cold office air. I also can't wear spring/summer colors, they are just too bright for my fair skin. [huh]
I was thinking the same thing. Satins made with cotton harbor static and absorb oils from hair. I love flannel (from cotton, of course), in the winter, but my hair looks like crap, when I wake up. Phyllis Diller would be jealous of my morning poof.
