Clear instructions.....please
I've read through the entire thread and I'm intrigues.
I have very long, natural med. blonde hair (no color nor products). I don't feel a cup of water with baking soda or ACV will do the trick. Should I wet my hair and then use enough of the solution(s) to...
Dupes.....Or why I watch YouTube
Go to YouTube and watch videos on the dupes (duplicates) for the higher end cosmetics. You will be surprised how comperable the drugstore brands really are. I hope this helps. I wear drugstore brands most of the time. I do love Estee Lauder lipsticks, the...
After taking off the first layer of cold cream and make up, then apply a lighter coat and let it sit for 5 minutes or so, then wipe that off. I do this about once a week and it really deep cleans my face.
The way I've always thought of it was, blush is usually a powder, and rouge usually a cream. I've asked my 83 year old mother and she confirmed it. I think the terms are interchangeable really.
(PS - my mothers rouge is very bright and heavy. You only need the tiniest of amounts and then...
Nick and Nora
I love Nick and Nora PJ's. I have quite a collection of them. Even went to the men's department bought a few of the flannel sets they had 3 years ago.
Swirl Pattern
I love this thread. I've read through it and there was a pattern posted but alas, it's not showing now. Does anyone know of a pattern similar to the Swirls?
I'm looking for easy Spring/Summer dressed to make.
Deconstruct
Miss Golightly,
What about deconstructing the suit. As you say, it's not wearable (which is a darn shame) so why not take the suit apart and make a pattern if the pieces. If you sew you can remake the suit if you don't sew, maybe you can find a tailor that would make it up for...
Never to old
I've read through the thread and I have to tell you girls, you are NEVER to old to wear saddles. I'm 52 and I wear mine in the Spring and Fall..mostly.
I don't keep to a vintage style all the time so I sport them with just current style jeans and T's. I get alot of comments...
Lady Day
I love that pattern. I have a pamplet that shows how to refashion a man's suit for a woman. I'd love to have that pattern for help. I'm not that accomplished with sewing and tailoring.
I don't know how "pleasing" these would be, but it's what I was raised with:
Choke your motor, Junior.......I still use that one, modified to Throttle back to my motorcycle friends.
You look like the wreck of the Hesperis....which was an actual ship sunk somewhere.
And when someone...
SayCiCi,
I've got the real thing....belted, zippers, the whole kit a kaboodle. LOL
I'm still trying to decide what type of skirt. Alot of the YouTube vids I've been watching show full, with crinolines and straight and snug (not overly tight, those girls loved to dance). I even called my...
Thank you ladies so much.
My guy and I are not dancers really. I was going with a pencil skirt a la "Rizzo" because I didn't want to do the poodle skirt thing. I figure there will be a sea of those. I'll rethink it anyway.
I do have a Marine Corp sweetheart pin that I can use. I also...
I am going to a "Sock Hop" in February and I need some input from you ladies. I'm planning on wearing a pencil skirt, saddle shoes and bobby socks. I'm thinking a sweater set witht the shell tucked into the skirt and the cardigan draped over the shoulders with a sweater clip to keep it from...
I hope you don't me making a comment. I like the jacket. Lovely colors and the style looks great on you (if that's you). I would have the sleeves lengthened if you can.
