    Of the patterns you have highlighted, I have three of the patterns which John has made. Cable Raincoat 42-10008-P in goat Dubow 1755 in Seal HH and I also own John's prototype D-1 Knopf jacket. I was wearing the 1755 today. They are all great jackets. You can't go wrong!

    The 27" is from the base of the collar to the bottom of the jacket. The jacket sits on me approx. 1/2" to 1" below my belt buckle in front and 1 1/2" to 2" below my belt in the back. I have a longer torso, with shorter legs, my inseam being 29" - 30". Hope this helps!
