Is it me or are there a disproportionate number of crazy folk associated in one form or another with leather jackets (present company excluded, of course)?
Nice. The part about the jacket getting smaller in the closet resonates - I swear that if you don't wear them, they shrink (at least that's my story...).

I'm not sure how you find some of this stuff but I, for one, am grateful. I've been introduced to a whole world of leather jackets that I would not have known about thanks to your "research"! :eusa_clap
I too think that David Himel is making some fine looking garments, I just...
I just had Johnson's do some work on an Aero (removing a wind flap from a used Highwayman) and a Vanson (new lining) - quality work done quickly for a reasonable fee with an actual sense that they appreciated the business. Refreshing.
I highly recommend these guys.
Oh yeah, no drama.
Those Rainbow Country jackets are approaching $2k and I must confess if there was a local retailer I'd probably own one (of course my wife and kids call me a fool all the time ... :eusa_doh:)
I hope - and want to believe that - you're right WDW (you've had a chance to meet some, or all, of the players face-to-face; the rest of us are communicating via email or the occasional call).
This isn't a debate about the relative merits of Belstaff versus Aero products. And this isn't a debate about the value of Aero jackets, with or without a VAT. This is about honesty.
I too have been watching this story unfold with a great deal of interest.
I'm not sure that anyone has been "damaged" and I certainly don't mean to suggest that I have a clue what a solution for this problem is but I repeat an earlier observation which I made about Aero - that this was the...
And let us not forget the fact that they collect VAT from non-EU customers and pocket it (something that they failed to disclose until challenged - oops).
IM me with your email address and I'll send some pics of a black Highwayman with brass (not vintage) zips. I wouldn't have chosen this but I think it looks great.
I was hoping to visit the shop someday and get fitted for a Stuart (of course, now that I've discovered Rainbow Country I may be "turning Japanese"...)
Not a movie guy, eh? I am resisting the urge to start quoting Joe Pesci's character from Goodfellas (you know, clowns - "I amuse you?"). :D
BTW - guilty as charged, sorry Dude (it was the name that got me going). And PC's advice is spot on...
+1 It's funny how our eyes can play tricks like that (because the sentence doesn't really make sense as written, I read it to be "can't" as well). But, on a personal note, JanSolo has cost me some serious cash as I have tried to replicate his amazing designs. Now I have Ishmael opening me up...
