I don't need any help!!!!
As far as the price differential goes I thought it was much more - ~$1800 versus ~$2200. For a $100 differential I would stay with Mushman's as well. Let us know when the HB arrives (now that many of us are living vicariously through you we grow impatient)!
Joining the chorus I think the red brown is tops (although you won't regret the seal either). Not to throw a complication into the mix but I've been fascinated by these RC since your initial post and I've been looking for other stockists. Am I wrong or does standard workwear have the same...
+1 Even if you assume that the quality of materials and craftsmanship is on a par with GW (which is giving DH - a relatively unknown maker - a lot of credit to start), it is unclear to me how you can justify the price difference. Same holds true for the Rainbow Country and Real McCoy models...
Ishmael - If finding the white whale was as easy for your namesake, Melville would have written a magazine article instead of Moby Dick. Your search is over, enjoy! As you might have gathered, while some of us are "absorbing" the $1700 price tag (which is still a cheaper price point than the...
The jacket looks outstanding - nice job!
But an inch is still an inch, regardless of what is fashionable at the moment. I too share your frustration with the tendency of Aero to cut a jacket that is too big.
Yes to the leather strip in the lining (aside from protecting & adding to the life of the lining the coat looks more "complete" with it), no to the leather lined cuffs (although it will add to the life of the sleeve lining it doesn't work as well IMO as it does on a jacket with the button cuffs...
I bought a used black FQHH Highwayman from Aero a while back - came with brass zippers. Although I never would have ordered it that way I think it looks much nicer than black with nickel zippers (which I had on my black 30s halfbelt from Insurrection that I ended up selling).
+1 The lighter hides "drape" better than a thick, stiff FQHH and I think the overall look of the Highwayman is improved. Of course I think that every Highwayman can be improved with an additional 2 inches of length (and no, we don't need any "That's what she said" jokes...)

Not sure why it's for sale but it sure looks sweet.
Being in a business where I am not a "low cost provider", I make it a practice to never comment on the pricing of an item - who cares what the reasons are for the price increase ("Will wants a new Benz" is just as valid a reason as Chinese competition for hides) provided that the value is there...
I understand that the micro-fleece yield was disappointing this year as well, I know that guys in the micro-fleece pit at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange have been going crazy.
Then contact Amanda and order one... A little tentative? Ask her to send you some swatches... This is the Enabler Lounge after all!
BTW - it is a beautiful jacket. :eusa_clap
