So I didn't see a thread on this. I was wondering what others prefer. If it's one or the other, or does it depend on the sitution? I don't normally wear powder, so I would appreciate any ideas anyone cares to share. Thanks.
Frank, I don't think you should worry about posting anywhere on the board. Input is welcomed everywhere and your input is as welcomed as others. :) And, welcome to the board.
So someone else feels my pain. ;) I was able to borrow the 1940s book and the Vintage Face by Turudich. I had requested the Deco book but I grew impatient and gave up. And yeah, beauty books directly from the source are always interesting.
I read a review of this film and to reassure your initial observation it wasn't good. I think most movies these days are remakes. I am often surprised by how often I turn on TCM, and think, "didn't that movie just come out?"
That would be swell, Gabe.
I certainly understand both sides but imagine that the ape was more of a priority for Mr Jackson. Besides, that's what most people who go to the theatre are interested in. Oh well.
Don't be too hard on yourself
I think everyone feels this way after long breaks. I know I certainly do. In a few days I am sure you'll be on track. Hope you have a good day!
Totally agree, need to work on that myself. I realize how unbecoming it is, but I think part of it is how you are raised, what you are around. Adapting to your environment. :)
And I am always amused by what people are willing to discuss in my presence, though I am not offended by much either.
I also have fond memories of the wooden spoon. ;) I think the wooden spoon must have gone out of fashion some time ago. Completely understand your wish to rant and of course you are entitled to do so.
