    So someone else feels my pain. ;) I was able to borrow the 1940s book and the Vintage Face by Turudich. I had requested the Deco book but I grew impatient and gave up. And yeah, beauty books directly from the source are always interesting.

    I read a review of this film and to reassure your initial observation it wasn't good. I think most movies these days are remakes. I am often surprised by how often I turn on TCM, and think, "didn't that movie just come out?"

    Always a classic I frequentely have worn my hair in a layered chin length bob since my hair is fine. Alas, no waves or pincurls for me.

    Totally agree, need to work on that myself. I realize how unbecoming it is, but I think part of it is how you are raised, what you are around. Adapting to your environment. :) And I am always amused by what people are willing to discuss in my presence, though I am not offended by much either.
