This thread is the bee's knees. :) When my son got to the age where he started repeating everything Daddy said, I made a concentrated effort to cut down on my swearing, and used older slang whenever possible. For whatever it's worth, I do it all the time. I have one fedora that I wear with a shirt-tie combination, and another stingy brim that can go with either shirt-tie or something more casual. Cool Chapeau, Man
Not to mention how challenging it is to drive certain cars while wearing a hat. Even if I have enough room for the crown, the back of the brim hits the headrest, forcing me to sit slightly forward -- a position that gets very uncomfortable after twenty minutes! Ways to select the lid of the day
I only have two hats, and maybe a half-dozen ties... and it still takes me a while to choose. If anything, the hat is the easy part of the deal -- brown full-brim fedora when I'm wearing brown or green, and new black stingy brim for everything else.- Ace Fedora
