how odd that they chose to remove so many shots of women's feet and toes. i wonder if there was a big fear of foot fetishists, or, if they were more aware of that, back then, and thought it was a perversion.
it didnt give me the normal stuff im used to on photobucket. i wish they would stop "updating" it so dumb people can 'share' stuff on facebook without knowing how to already
today, a stetson tornado, 3x beaver, unknown vintage appears to be in mint condition. got it from some estate thing on ebay last week. so, i just got it today
never. just wanted to point out that some of us smart guys are into things that arent stetson friendly. for instance, if i go out to shoot photos, i wear a baseball cap the wrong way, because obviously a big camera up to my face, things get in the way.

this is a read at your own risk thing. if you're squeamish or easily offended, this is not the thing for you.
just got one of these in the mail, and i like to know how old things are. does anyone know? it says 3x beaver, and it still says 'crafted edge' my hat from the sixties has one, but doesnt say anywhere that it does. come to think of it, the ones i have from what i was told is the mid-fifties dont...
i have a very high IQ, and on crappy days, i wear a backwards baseball hat. not often, though. just in hellacious down-pours, or when going places where my stetsons would get messed up. race tracks, concerts, etc
i'll be honest and say the sound is jacked up on this computer right now, and...
im a writer and photographer. i'll post some pictures when im on my normal computer. this one is new, and only has some 'in progress' ideas on it.
this is one of my stories that is free on the internet. not long. five pages or so...
After being beaten into a brain-damaging coma by five men outside a bar, Mark built a 1/6th scale World War II-era town in his backyard. Mark populated the town he dubbed "Marwencol" with dolls representing his friends and family and created life-like photographs detailing the town's many...
i contacted the haberdashers i mentioned, and they actually do cleaning and repair through the mail also. i figure places like this one arent too common anymore. im also probably not the only person who has something in need of some TLC. that said, here is their website: http://www.johnhelmer.com/
the new post and todays post buttons dont seem to work (or at least not work all the time) for instance, right now they both tell me no posts match my query, but going into the forums individually quickly proves this messege wrong.
the one in my avatar. stetson gun club 1100. circa mid 60's im guessing. the liner is gold with ducks flying on it. showed it to a couple vintage clothes people, and i could tell they didnt know anymore than i did. could also tell they wanted it.
could i take into a haberdasher? would they do something different than, say what i would do with the spray on stuff? ive been meaning to go to the one downtown, anyway, as i have a hat stamped with their store brand from something like seventy years ago. just sort of curious what they'd think...
i do, yeah. i have, though, started using a playing card to help support the weight of my pen. i know i shouldnt do it, but, im a forgetful sort, who doesnt always have pockets. i do though, always have a hat on. i would never have a *pin* other than the ones that come with some older stetsons...
i do agree there. think its worth 300 bucks? i know some new ones sell for 500 and up. i dont know much about old leather, but i know this thing is still stiff, pretty well unscarred. the guy who runs the store says its army issue. but it has no patches. so, if thats true, im thinking surplus.
pocketwatches, anyone?
my fiance generally demands i carry my phone, but i prefer my pocketwatch collection. i have some really old ones, some pretty new ones, and some that just plain dont work. but, for my time and money and lack of concern over car breakdowns, nothing beats fishing a pretty...
