Guys,
I've made a "budget-conscious" decision and decided to go for the CURRENT Garcia Aviation cap for now. I have been reading previous crusher cap threads here and some have mentioned, talked about, and even reviewed the Garcia cap. But, however, these reviews are from about 2004-2006, and...
I plan on going for the US Wings Khaki (shirt and pants+web belt for the USAAF look) SOMETIME in the near future and wanted to know what tie to get: khaki or black.
I've seen a lot of both and didn't know which one was more historically accurate.
I was watching "Kelly's Heroes" and would like to know some of the jackets that appeared in the film.
Oddball's Leather Jacket (reminds me of an A-2, for some reason) and Kelly's jacket.

I apologize for it being so small...
Hey guys.
As some of you know, after reworking budget issues and such I am finally able to get the US Authentic A-2 Jacket. It seems like a GREAT alternative to the much cheaper US Wings jackets, which I was planning on getting because of my budget. I soon realized that some of these jackets...
Should I get a Christy's "Adventurer"
Should I? I mean, I want a hat that "behaves" like the "Raiders of the Lost Ark" fedora? Does it? What can be customized for the "Adventurer" for it to be like "Raiders"?
I couldn't really find a thread for this particular subject, so I posted it here.
Anybody have the US WINGS Khaki shirt and pants. How do they compare with original USAAF WWII issue? Are they realistic? How would these look with a black tie, web belt, and maybe some wing and prop pins on the...

Is it true to the original USAAF B-15 in WWII? I mean, the price is just too good! It even has a USAAF embroidered patch.
I've found two jackets on US Wings that are within my budget.

The first two jackets ( US Wings Current Issue and US Wings Black Label Goatskin A-2 Jacket) are what I am considering to purchase.
I need your guys' help. Which one is more authentic to WWII USAAF...

Hey Guys,
I am looking to complete my USAAF pilot look with some 1940s Aviator glasses, not the modern ones. The glasses that actually have the "hooks" that actually go fully around your ears.
I found a pair on the Garcia aviation site, the same site that I want to buy my crusher cap...
I have been looking online and watching the movie "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo" and have found that some guys wear crushers with devices that depict an eagle with straight wings and others wear the device with curved wings. This has baffled me for quite some time now.
Anybody have an insight...
I've seen a couple of fellas do it "Thirty Seconds over Tokyo" (1944) and I've also come across this picture:

How do I do...
Hey Guys!
I just registered with the Fedora Lounge. I have become very interested in Fedoras from watching Indiana Jones. I also have a keen interest and knowledge of WWII Aviation. I am also really interested in WWII United States Army Air Force Leather jackets, sunglasses, crusher caps...
