I recently ordered a Roaster in Brown grainy steer for AL that was on the sales page.
When it arrived the jacket did not have the same dimensions as were listed on the website. It was 2 inches wider pit to pit and the sleeves did not reach my wrist bone and were listed at 27 inches long. I...
This very jacket arrived yesterday!
It came up on the sale pages and I just had to grab it....
All I can say is this is by far the heaviest jacket I have had, but the hide is supple and the jacket is comfortable straight out the box.
I jumped on the bathroom scales with and without the...

I have to agree with some of the comments that the arm holes appear to be cut low and the jacket rides up a bit (bat wing effect) when...
Sorry for the late reply, we have been busy moving from our earthquake damaged home in New Zealand to our new home in Sweden.
I wanted a jacket that was not as heavy as the horse hide but just as hard-wearing. I received samples of all Aero's lighter horse and the goat. I went with the goat...
Ok here is that update I promised....
I drove down to RMNZ today to find Paddy and her team busy making those beautiful jackets again.
Paddy explain that they had to wait for building clearance as they had quite a lot of liquefaction some of which entered the factory so there was a bit of a...
NowOrNever.
There are a few scum in all areas wanting to take advantage of a situation. In total there have been 8 arrests last night for looting. The courts are coming down hard on anyone caught. One was caught stealing light fittings??.
The good news is that the rest of Canterbury is...
I went passed today and it was still standing, but closed as are most businesses. Email is unreliable at the moment as is the phone system.
Real Mccoys is situated outside the CBD to the South West. There is lots of damage to this area with liquefaction and roads cracking with only weaken...

Hi All,
We know that feeling as we went through a 7.1@10km deep back in September this year. We are still having aftershocks we had a 3.5 yesterday that makes approx 4087 so far. I spent a week digging out liquefaction form our house and the neighbors. The ground shifted my...
I live in Christchurch where they make the Real McCoy jackets and have been fortunate enough to go to the factory and spend some time trying on A2s and G1s.
I have a 39 inch chest and around 150lb and 6 foot and normally wear a 38 suit jacket. I found the size 40 A2 too tight and short and the...
Hi Mark,
I ordered by first Aero in April and waited 6 months for the jacket to arrive, everyday worrying if I had got the right jacket and fit.
When my Cossack was finally delivered the style and fit was spot on, just as I ordered. As long as you have given Aero the right measurements...
Holdencain,
The Cossack has the same length front and back, I specified a sleeve length of 35" from the centre of my neck at the point of where the collar joins my shirts across the shoulders round the elbow to the end of my average shirt sleeve cuff with my arm bent. Aero did the rest...
Hi Seb,
I have dug out our large kitchen scales and weighed the jacket. The scales are not 100% accurate but close enough for government work.
The jacket weighed in just shy of 2 kilos or 4lb and 4oz in old money. I would guess the hide is 3-3.5oz.
Thanks
A few dodgy self timer shots!
Thanks again for all your great comments; this jacket would not have been possible with the help of the regulars and newbie’s who have asked all my questions before…..cheers and enjoy your jackets as I surly will.
