catalog button
Hey Indy,
I tried clicking on the catalog button and it asked me for a login and password. The same thing happened when I clicked on "Contact Us".
Me & My Pen
When I turned 18 a very good friend gave me a Mont Blanc Pen for my birthday. I cherish it because I used it when I first signed up for classes in college. Later I would use it to sign the paperwork for my first brand new car. I used it to sign my marriage license when I got...
I love this bag!
:) I just got my first Saddleback Leather Company briefcase and I think it is the greatest utility bag/case I've ever seen! Many thanks Dewey for introducing me to this high quality item!
Taj Tilley
I have a Tilley Airflo myself and last summer when I was in India visiting the Taj Mahal I was wearing it. The temp was about 116 degrees with humidity in the 90% range. It was God awful but I was sure thankful to be wearing the Tilley.
Haunted Studios
Has Anyone checked out the dingus offered by Haunted Studios? I was looking over their site - they also offer the fertility idol from ROTLA. I'm curious if anyone has had any experience with them... I'm definitely in the market for one.
Never leave home without...
My trusty Swiss Army knife but not for luck. I also wear a small cross made of Teak wood I got when the wife and I were in HI to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I've worn it ever since.
But what you don't know is the other Casablanca story
There were 3 German couriers, not two. Two were murdered in the desert by Ugarti & his men but one got away - he wasn't actually a german, although he was in uniform and this wasn't the first time he'd worn a german uniform as a disguise...
I was wondering about the upcoming Classic Style magazine. Who are the writers? Will there be an opportunity to contribute articles? Will the Lounge be a forum for topics?
Hold on to your hats cause you ain't seen nothing
If you want to know what the future will be like - watch Star Trek. If you really want to know, read "The Flat World, a brief history of the 21st century" by Thomas Friedman. He has a real strong grasp on the world today and where things are...
Not together I won't...
I've got to along with Vintage on this one. I own the hat & Wested Jacket but won't wear both together no more than I would wear the hat with a trench (Bogey). While this may have been "the look" back in the day I'm quite certain today it would only garner snickers...
Why it's called a "Dopp Kit"
DOPP KIT - "A Dopp kit once was standard issue upon a boy's entrance into manhood. It's still the best way to keep a man's grooming tools conveniently organized. First designed by Charles Doppelt in 1919 to withstand the rigors of traveling." From The Vermont...
Tom Selleck
I agree, I enjoyed his work in the roles he's done. Not to get political but I've heard his political views have played a part in why he hasn't done "Greater" things.
TSA Guidelines
I heard that as well. You are only allowed to take 3 oz or less throught the security checkpoint at airports in the states, however you can buy a bottle of water or Starbucks once past the checkpoint and you can take that on the plane. As always, it is best to check the TSA...
I always figured the flask is an ideal carry on for a quick nip to soothe the old nerves for those who aren't too comfortable with flying. The trick is even before new restrictions, I never saw anyone pulling a flask out of their breast pocket when going through screening. Of course that's not...
A reference to the inscription on the flask given from Mrs. Smith to Mr. Smith in the movie "Mr. & Mrs. Smith". So does anyone carry a flask? What is proper flask etiquette? What occassions should a flask be used? What are the best kinds/makers of flasks? What's an appropriate size flask?
Will The Real "Indy" hat please stand up
I've done little bit of research into the original Fedora worn by Harrison Ford in Raiders. Try Herbert Johnson of London. I refer you to Indygear.com and Raiders.net as sources.
I own a Herbert Johnson Fedora it's fur not wool and I cherish it...
Help with Handkerchiefs
I'm looking for a really quality handkerchiefs - as in 1200 threadcount Egyptian cotton perhaps... Any ideas, suggestions, please point me in the right direction...
Try the Merkur Solingen line of razors
I've used one for years and believe me when I tell you it will likely last my lifetime and then some. This IS your grandfathers razor. They also sell straight razors.
