On an 6-8 panel traditional newsboy, is their any reason for the bigger buttons on top? It seems they're all big buttons these days... Not the ridiculously big buttons of the mid 70s, but definitely bigger than we used to see.

oops, sorry i left that out. they are Stetsons.
I'm a regular mad hatter lately. i got these then a couple of days later my akubra camp draft showed up after four months... so it must've slipped my mind.
i ran into a guy on jury duty with me who used to work for resistol, he said something...
oh, I'm all but certain I'll never use it, anymore than I'd use a lapel button hole. it's just kind of thin and floppy. i like it being anachronistic, especially when i run into an open road wearer.

mine finally arrived yesterday. it took close to four months.
i have to say I'm a little disappointed in the wind trolley. very fine thread, unless its Kevlar or something very strong.

i got a bargain on two silverbelly cowboy hats. but i think they are promos. one the sweatband almost disintegrated. the other seems ok. I'm having difficulty finding replacement sweatbands as i wear a size 8. both hats were about $65 usd. fine fur felt. I've stretched a bit and reblocked...
Ordered my Akubra Campdraft
Still have about 2 1/2 months before it ships I reckon.
Just barely had my size, 64 (8 U.S.)
Silverbelly, classic color. All of my Stetsons are Silverbelly. I wear felt year round. Even in 110 heat here in the Texas Hill Country.
Figure I'll do my usual teardrop...
I wear a size 8. Everyone used to tell me if I cut my hair my hat size would be smaller. Now, what hair hasn't fallen out, is about as short as I can go without cutting it everyday or just shaving my head (not going there). Still a size 8.
Weight loss: I always gained it back, but my braincase...
Which online vendor of Akubra hats has the greatest selection? I'm also needing very large, U.S. size 8, so 64-65 metric (?)
