Ha, no, I've found that when it comes to fashion (especially in the realm of hats) the "significant other" often has a different idea of what should be worn. (I see you've already encountered this!) lol -

Hot Weather Hats
I have something similar to that as my warm-weather hat. Although it is "lighter" than my black felt fedora, it provides no sun protection for the neck. You need something with a broader rim. -

Meanings also change over time of course, language is fluid. I think the hat looks quite nice with the suit. -

It usually depends on the formality of the place, IMO. McDonald's or Waffle House, for example, I might leave my hat on, because the tables might be too sticky or dirty to take my hat off. (They might be too small to find a place for a hat, too.) You also tend to eat with your hands. A... -

Walking back from a city council meeting, I was wearing a black coat, black pants, black shoes, a black fedora, a blue shirt (and I forget the color tie I was wearing). A man came up to me, and said, "Shalom!" lol -

I am considering buying a new hat, as seen in the photo below, but I have no idea what it is called. The closest I've seen online to this is a "boater"'s hat, but I find it hard to believe that everyone in 1912 would be running around with Italian hats. Please help! -

What do you do with a frumpy hubby?
Most guys hate shopping. Eventually, over time, you will start to look alike anyway if you shop for clothes for both you and your husband at the same stores. You can probably convince (most) guys to wear anything just so he doesn't have to go "bra shopping" with you :DDD- Mindraker
