    The Stratoliner Appreciation Club {MODERN}

If you take the plunge, you'll love this hat. I picked up the Silverbelly Premier Strat at J.J. Hat Center a few weeks ago and am impressed with the quality and feel of this hat. I have a vintage Open Road as well, great hat and it was much cheaper, however the premier is a fantastic hat that...

Open Crown Stetsons: A Call (Plea) to Retailers!!

My 2 cents to go with the ample amounts of change already on this post. Just purchased a Silverbelly Strat and am impressed with the pounce and feel of this production hat. Not stiff at all, takes a good dry crease, and holds up to some other customs I have. My only gripe is the same I have...

    FT/sale: Dobbs 15 OR/Strat clone 2 3/4 brim w/cav edge size 7 1/4-3/8

Beautiful hat. Unfortunately the only dark, non black in 7 1/4 I have is a vintage Borsalino with a 2 inch brim (Moss green Chinchilla). If I could stretch out the brim I would as I'm surprised no one has taken you up on this great looking hat!

    The Curse of Indiana Jones

It actually is a pretty cool town, more hat wearers here than other places I've lived...definitely a different type of place though.

    The Curse of Indiana Jones

Yeah, I totally agree. Which is why I usually just smile and say "Thank You." That being said, some folks actually do inquire as to what kind of hat it is, which I find pretty neat.

    The Curse of Indiana Jones

Crazy thing is, I got the same comment from two guys in downtown Portland last weekend with my Penman. They were friendly enough though and sounded like Cheech & Chong, so I let it slide. Don't know what it is with this city!

Yes! Someone else felt the cold chill that is the Green Mountain State

    Coldest Weather I've been in

Every year in Vermont felt like it was colder than the last, hated Jan-Feb where it never got above freezing for weeks and seldom above 15-20F. I loved the summers, but glad I moved before this upcoming winter (High of 12F yesterday, high of 10F today and it's only December...)

    The Conversion Corral

Good looking conversion BlackMaskPulp, I think the brim width suits based on the photos.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Well put! One of the things that initially got me interested in hats is the history and traditions that they carry. Thanks for sharing this particular story of a very good looking porkpie. -Nick

    Penman Hats

Still super excited, so I had to sign on and give a huge thanks and a thumbs up to John Penman. I relocated from VT to Portland and the first thing I did upon moving out to OR was walk into John's shop and order a Penman in moss green. I had high hopes based on the hats in his shop and every...

Portland OR hat museum? CW top hats

I for one am quite looking forward to checking this museum out. I'm currently planning my relocation to Portland, and as a hat enthusiast, I'm in. I certainly hope the area is nice, and geographically I'll be closer to a Penman Hat-something I've pined for for years!
