    Cuffed Jeans

I started turning my jeans up when I bought my first Momotaro. Got me some weird remarks and funny looks at my workplace but they soon got used to it and some even got my intention right. Together with boots (engineers, loggers, etc.) it´s the ultimate vintage worker look and I like it a lot...

Cordova Handmade Caps / Johnny J's work

Those caps are getting nicer and nicer all the time. I think we have definitely two of the best cap makers there are here in the FL! :eusa_clap

    Reproduction classic workwear

Thank you flat-top, that´s surely something to watch out for. I already wanted to buy some shirts at H&M but found even nicer ones on the discounted rack. For half the price I may even buy one of the "Blaumanns" as we call them here (Blaumann = blue man). :D

    Reproduction classic workwear

Went to H&M today to take a look at the blue workwear jacket. Well, the good thing is it looks exactly like a blue workwear jacket which is at the same time the bad news. Paying about 45 Euros for a simple blue workshop jacket (and I used one of those in my garage when I was tinkering on my...

    Simonds Caps

I am sorry guys, but this took me a while. Both the US and German mail were not in a hurry to transport Barry´s fine cap but since it arrived I am pretty much in love with it! It was a bit on the tight side but the vintage wool (1954) responded quite well to the stretching. Now it´s a great fit...

    What is it about horsehide?

Very interesting thread! It tells a lot about the fine people here on the FL that even a "holy cow" (or should I say "holy horse") can be slaughtered without the usual fighting that would start in other forums. Back to topic: While I find myself constantly staring in the direction of a HH-A2 I...

    Boot width question

I had a similar problem with my Red Wing Engineers (2268): My heels was slipping and the instep was too tight, especially when I was sitting down for a longer period. After a few days of regular wear (I even wore them inside the house when they were brandnew!) the heel-slipping went away. Now...

How Many Fedoras did you see today?

Yes, in theory! People ask me ever so often "where did you get this and where did you get that" and I say to them "come on, Google is your friend". But it is of no use, they are reluctant to buy from abroad or buy over the internet. I have absolutetly no idea what people do with their internet...

I think now as he is doing his apprenticeship in tayloring there will be coming some nice things in the future. Oh goodness, gotta sell the house.....

How Many Fedoras did you see today?

That´s absolutely true! And then there is the problem to find a hat that´s not an outback hat. Not that easy today if you´re not in the "szene" like us and don´t want to wear a silly plastic stingy...
