Sources for leather hat bands?
I've used the Tandy leather hat band kits and they produce a good band. Cost about 12 bucks. I also browse at Goodwill for leather belts, never know what you might find but they are usually around $3. I've been replacing most of my leather bands with Grosgrain. EA has updated their site. Looks nice. Dumb question, when you order a hat with a 3 month wait, do they charge at the current price or when it ships? I didn't see a reference in their FAQ. Thanks, ~Woody- ScaryWoody

It looks like a great hat that fits you well. With a 4" brim it's a bit wide for my taste. It would be great for those working outside in the bright sunshine. Certainly a substantial hat. ~Woody- ScaryWoody

I just finished up my Akubra "Down Under" conversions. I scored an Akubra "Down Under" in sandtone fawn off EBay but I didn't like the round styling. I read here about trimming the brim down and proceeded to trim to 2.75". I re-bashed using instructions on the forum and went with a pinch tear...- ScaryWoody

I have an Australian Outback fur felt hat. It fits well but the leather band kind of scrapes my forehead a bit. I think it's the threads in the band. I've tried stretching it. Any other fixes? Maybe something to make the area a bit softer?- ScaryWoody
