Hi....fit is I believe slightly larger (not "trim"). I have a 1920's Aero Work Coat (also a 40) and a Board Racer (also 40). Both are trimmer fits. Shoulder-to-shoulder is 18" and pit-to-pit (with jacket laying flat and buttoned) is 23". I'm 5' 7" and around 180 lbs.
Selling my Himel Canuck Railroad Jacket (1919) _ Harris Tweed_ size 40.
Wonderful Fall and Spring jacket.
Excellent condition, barely worn. Bought this beautiful jacket from Himel and unfortunately I sized it with no room to "grow"....and over the last year or so I have unfortunately grown...
Unfortunately need to relist my Himel cafe racer styled Kensington Racing Shirt at much reduce price because of a need to raise some cash.
Also, this size 40 was a perfect fit when I purchased, but unfortunately I have "grown" a bit too much and it no longer is the great fit it used to be...
Need for funds is forcing the sell off of a few favorites. First (and most difficult for me to part with)... Aero Maxwell approx. 18 months old. Breaking in beautifully. I have not "babied" this jacket, so if you are looking for pristine "like-new" this is not it. However I have not abused it...

Excellent condition and looking to get $225 for it.
wear it often and wear it everywhere....best way to break it in...
I also am a believer in sleeping in the FQHH...does wonders for shortening the break in period.
A few images of my brown FQHH Maxwell at the 4-week mark...
Can't wait for cooler Fall weathers to come so I can get these beauties...
My experience is the break in is neither as long or as painful as some would have you believe...
Wear the jacket as much as possible....and it will be weeks...not months or years.
Beautiful jacket by the way!
Beautiful jacket and I think the fit is just about perfect...and as it breaks in and molds it will become a second-skin for sure!
Beautiful wallet as well...definitely will look into the Flat Head stuff...
Hi Bunyip....I haven't had much opportunity to wear other than testing the fit...weather has been in the 80's here.
Its a relatively lighter weight wool, but is also lines with a similar weight wool, so overall is mid-weight and should be good for a lot of weather situations...probably not for...
