Hello, Gents!
I'm seeking help identifying the following hat from the movie The Gathering Storm (2002). I think it's a homburg but it looks like it has a narrower brim than a typical homburg.
Any idea where I could find one just like it (but in black)?
Hi Everyone
I realize this is a very old thread but a situation just came up and I’m hoping for some help.
I was just about to buy a beautiful $300 hat of the brand Fernandez y Roche, a Spanish company, when someone told me about the possibility of rabbits being skinned alive.
Is it possible...
Hi, Gents!
I'm getting married this Spring (Hurrah!) and I'd like to buy a collarless shirt and a detachable collar to go with it. Which online shop would you recommend?
Thank you!
Eliesti,
Thanks for the photos, but the brim is much too wide for my liking. I'll have to skip.
I'm surprised they make such a wide brim for the non-Hasidic public.
I'm the proud new owner of a top hat. My very first.
All the details are still available on the eBay site:

Brad,
Thank you for your reply. That is a brilliant hat!
I'm curious: when worn, is the opera hat at all distinguishable from a regular topper? Is the outline of the metal coils at all visible underneath the satin silk?
Gents,
I'm desperately looking for a top hat but they seem to be extremely rare in my size, 7 1/2. I was wondering if a professional hatter can expand a top hat as he can a fedora? The reason I ask is because I've seen several 7 1/4 toppers for sale and I wonder if, with a bit of a stretch...
Just what the title says. I'd like to find a top hat sized 7.5 and in good enough condition to wear for a costume party. A very serious costume party, that's why I'm looking for something vintage, not a toy hat.
Thank you!
I just finished mixing all of the ingredients. I can't wait to unseal it in 2 weeks and share the results!
In a glass jar I added:
almonds, dried prunes, peeled pears, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, chili pepper, and a bottle of French brandy.
I call it: Liqueur Alonnaise
Got my cut last week. Inspired by Jimmy Dormady of Boardwalk Empire. I love the cut, unfortunately it stands out too much in the more conservative circles of the business world, so I've taken to side-parting it most of the time and sleeking it back only on occasion.
Thank you for your opinions, gents! I thought this jacket was from an era when wide shoulders were in vogue, and it's just not my cup of tea. Wanted to make sure it was idiosyncratic and not something common to all dinner jackets. I'll keep my eyes open for a more fitted, narrower jacket...
