Thank You everyone. I have grown a liking of wide edge binding after getting this hat. I'm also thinking of getting it copied in grey by Art sometime in the future I like it so much.lol

    Mystery Hat

The brim binding is a little more than 5/8 1 on top and bottom. I am extremely happy with it. I find it very different, classy, and bold( Thank for the link Feraud). It is very similar to the Stetson Vogue JtL, when are those from?

Where in the World are all the Hat Wearers?

I'm out in Los Angeles. I don't usually see anyone wearing any *real* hats unless I go to a vintage store of some sort. I rarely see someone wearing vintage or of good quality. I see lots of *hip* hats though. Its not usually too hot this time of year, so I can wear my felts, I wear a Milan in...

    Mystery Hat

I found this fedora at the Vintage Expo In Santa Monica, it came with a red Thoroughbred hatbox, but isn't a Thoroughbred. Here are some pictures of it. It says "His Excellency- World's Premier Hat" and the crest at the top is a D and an H. Disney maybe? There is makers label inside the...

The $ Value of Your Hat Wardrobe

I have spent around $175 on my collection. $60 for a vintage unknown(I think Disney 1940's fedora), $50 for a mid 50's Stetson Royal Deluxe with a back-bow, and $55 for a modern Milan. $15 for a cap.

    Typewriter ribbons.

Yup, adding machine ribbon or any generic half inch ribbon. I Buy them at Office max, and re-spool them onto the original spools. Whatever you do, don't throw out the spools! You can also buy ribbons from www.mytypewriter.com if you don't want your fingers to get all inky, and don't mind waiting.

    Stetson "Shady Oak"

There really isn't anything distinguishable other than the liner and sweatband. I remember reading somewhere that the crown and brim size are slightly larger than an Open Road but I'm not sure. I totally forgot about this thread, Ill get around to pictures and measurements.

    Super Hi-Def inauguration photo...

Interesting hats, saw some nice ones, a few fancy looking homburgs and some fedoras. :offtopic: Its funny because I found my dad in this picture. He is infront of Obama, at the foot of the Telecasting tower, taking pictures behind the lady with the purple sweater.

    What's a wind trolley?

Yup, mine is how you described yours.

    What's a wind trolley?

My hat trolley is not elastic, and works differently I think. The button is stationary, and then you take the string from around the crown and but it around a button with the *Fixed-slipnot*, is this common?
