There has been some discussion of this vendor in other threads...does anyone have any dealings with or knowledge of this "store"?...Are they "real" Stetsons? Some have said Stetson now only licenses the name and doesn't make the hat.....could these be of inferior quality?(I know to many of you...

Many of you have pointed me in this direction as a good choice for a quality 1st hat.....I went to the website...and found two styles I like--the Fedora and the CEO(both under fashion heading)....looked for US distributors...David Morgan and it's "sub distributors" do not list these hat...
Considering I do not yet own a hat...but am actively looking at my options for 1st purchase....what is your opinion regarding new vs vintage for a rookie?
What are the pros and cons? possible pitfalls? Budget for either would be $125 or less.
