So for nearly solid 8 years I have been looking for a Borsalino roll up vintage hat in my size 7.5 and have never been able to find one even close. Almost all of them are smaller in sizes.
Now I have been long thinking of an outlandish idea that I am not sure will work and sounds downright...
so you have never seen separate lines at the airports for first class/business class people? or in amusements parks for Express ticket holders or in banks for premier account holders? Heck even if you order anything from amazon.com or newegg they have a seprate rush/express charge if you want...
yeah they had their hats made by Cervo for a while but I called them in July 09' and their manager/owner said they were using Guerra now. So unless Guerra is further contracting to Cervo, which can happen, it would be rather unlikely.
Yes. Like anywhere else. You pay higher (express) fee for cutting down the time. Nothing wrong with it.
um... actually NO. You place the order and you get the hat in 6 weeks. Period! At $650 you get the hat in 6 weeks time. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of posting it (lead time of 6...
In addition to Miller hats you may want to check "Worth and Worth" hats. I think their offerings are from Guerra

They have Treviso also but at $225. I have used many RTW hats from worth and worth in the past and they are certainly one of the...
actually it fits more like a punti 6 or US 7 3/8. I wear 7 1/2 and was stunned to see how big of a 5 1/2 punti it was. Clearly wrong sized and much to my delight bigger than I expected.
hi guys
I recently got this Borsalino Trionfo in light silver color. This is my first Trionfo and I must confess it feels sort of strange to hold and touch. It is almost like paper light and felt is just new to my touch.
For those of you who own Trionfo's what do the normally feel and...
interesting comparison
Hmm… this could be very interesting to know. I presume you have been a customer of all 3 hatters above mentioned? I had the pleasure of working with all 3 of them so it will be good to compare and learn something perhaps I have missed all these years.
I will touch...
white fedora
hello boys
here is a new delivery. there are not very many white hats so I thought I should post this.
I want to thank Brad Bowers for offering his help with this tough task and of course Art who (despite being very reluctant with this) accepted the project ...
yes of course I will do that. I will Art work on it and it will be a complete renovation as he calls it. So it will be a Very expensive Borsalino for me.
BTW if you have one of those open crown Trionfo with floppy shape please let me know how are their felts? I used to think most of them are...
yup that was my first idea to post there but last time I asked a question (in there) it got lost in with other new posts so I had to start a different thread to get some advice :)
well there are people who will fill in more on the info but the hat is likely gray in color with a approx 4" creased (maybe 4.25") with a 2 1/8" or 2 1/4" brim with Cavanagh edge. Hatband seems to be equal to or a little less than 1.5" wide. The crown is teardrop or wide center creased (former...
well at Optimo his rate is $20 for hatband $20 for sweat and $40 for reblocking $10 for sizeup (per his website) plus shipping so about $90 without shipping. Anyone know how much Art usually charges for this?
Above all who is better suited for this job? that is for a vintage Borsalino...
Well they won't be able to give me a good answer till I sent them the hat and in order for that I need to buy it first. ;)
The thing is I don't want to buy the hat if people here say definitively don't stretch a vintage borsalino trionfo up 1 size for whatever reason.
It probably should...
Hi guys
I have a question for all Borsalino lovers and especially Trionfo owners. There are a few of them here and there they show up for sale either on forum or vintage shops but never in larger sizes. So, is it possible or advisable to buy a 5 ½ punti size 22 1/2” and have them sent to Art...
yep my info is directly from Steve and this is what he said six weeks wait.... that is, at least for the time being (as I also mentioned above) with new prices. I mean it doesn't make much sense to post 6 weeks lead time note at his website if this was not true.
well this I can't speak into but I am sure John who is a member will respond to this. :)
Nothing really. That is his new price and for that the wait time is 6 weeks (at least for now)
I believe it means wait or time difference from the time you order to the time your hat is made or finished.
