I think this is based on the "Doug Dimmadome" character from the animated series "Fairly Odd Parents". His hat varies from a normal 10-Gallon size to infinitely tall.

I only know this as my son sent the above image in response to my buying the Texas Hatters 13X a while back. A hat that may belong in this thread based on it's own merits.
