1930s trousers cuff width?

60s or 70s I assume. Could be later, but I personally don't think so.
The wool is quite heavy. Not 1930s stereotypical heavy, but noticeably heavier than modern suit fabric.
It's heavy wool, but the jacket is only half-lined.
It's also labelled Johnny Carson, which dates it to after 1966.

It worked! They have been let down an additional 1,5cm/0,6" and the trousers width reduced to 23cm/9".
Picture follows, after next time I've been wearing it.
