1st Army Deployment

My husband is being deployed from Fort Hood, Texas sometime next week to Iraq or Korea or first one then the other. See you all when I get back; I'm flying one way and driving his Aveo car back with some of his stuff packed inside, stopping in Clarksville, Tennesse overnight.

Near the state boundary line between Ky-Tn, a small roadside diner,
"Elaine's Cafe" is camped right outside Ft Campbell's main gate.
It's a good place to grab coffee and chow. Have a good trip, and all

Well, my husband was sent out on Thursday October 19 with the other Cavalry soldiers. After a layover in Germany he is now in Kuwait for 3 weeks training, then to the Green Zone in a suburb of Baghdad for a year or so.
He borrowed 20 bucks from me before he left, (add it to the thousands he owes me) [huh] hope he doesn't find a poker game.
My drive back from Texas, after waiting for his apartment to be inspected after I spent the week cleaning it, was BEAUTIFUL. The Autumn colors in every state I went through were sometimes breathtaking. Made it home safely in 37 hours, stopping at my brother's house in TN to sleep.
Obviously I have mixed feelings about my lying cheating stealing husband. The only reason he joined the Army is so he could pay back me and my dad and then we wouldn't have him sent to jail. He likes the Army and is good at his job, but he has continued to steal, gamble and participate in other sordid activities. Sorry. Feeling sorry for myself. Probably delete this post later.
