Hi, all those who are not indifferent to leather jackets !
last week I received a jacket from Aero Leather - Dustbowl brown Kelpie - from ready-to-wear stock.
https://www.aeroleatherclothing.com/stock/dustbowl--brown-kelpie-hh--38----s-5779/s-5779
The sizes indicated on the site correspond to the real ones. I really liked the Kilpie leather, very interesting dressing.I didn't find a lot of information about this leather on the Internet, as well as examples of the development of the patina. this is a new leather in the aero line. according to a reliable source - from the oldest and most respected English tannery -
C.F. Stead. they have a similar leather called Equus Full Grain -

any comments are welcome, here are some of my photos -

All round great fit!
The backs on those are the hard part to get right - nailed it!

Nice, leather looks pretty interesting as well. Would you say the leather is thin but it creases easily and the creases stay in place? Or rather it bounces back to its initial shape? (easily seen on the sleeves)

This is medium weight leather.but more filled wax than for example Vicenza, but more dry than from Horvin hh, it feels closer to shinki hh.Except for this panel, this jacket also has a look and feel, from smooth to pebbly.this difference is clearly visible on the back of the bottom of the jacket compared to the front of the top.

I assume that over time, folds on the bends of the elbow may develop

Fits you great congrats. Hard to hit a hole in one on the sale page but you did it. Good to know the leather‘s from CF Stead. It is very similar to the Shinki Aniline/standard, Kelpie temper Is a bit softer. Good leather. Guys looking for a smoother look Vicenza probably would still be the choice.

You definitely noticed about ready-made jackets, this is a 100% lottery always.
Vicenza it's a good leather too, soft but different. it's semi-aniline leather.it is less lively and more plastic in feel than aniline.this has its advantages. i'm not criticizing, i have a aero Plainsman Seal Vicenza jacket. here everyone chooses according to their taste and preference.the most interesting thing about this lottery is that all the leather hides are different, even from the same batch.

Nice to finally see some Kelpie pictures!
I've gathered some as well as I was seriously considering it for my Aero order.
How does yours look under direct sunlight?
I found this CF Stead Equus Instagram post where the leather looks very dark brown in the shade but pops out like crazy with reddish hues in direct sunlight: https://www.instagram.com/p/CCOcZ86pn6D/
My collection of brown kelpie photos just add something useful to this thread as I imagine people will look for Kelpie info and find this thread all the time.
