I love the Maxwell. It looks great/ fits perfectly.
@Fanch, do you have any pictures of that Mulligan? The photos in your old 2014 thread about it have all been lost to history. I'm curious about that Aero design and there are remarkably few photos of it being worn.
No I'm sorry but I don't. I recently switched computers from one with Windows 7 to Windows 10, and all of my jacket pictures were lost, or in a file I can't find. I'll keep looking and post if I can find the lost pictures.
Really solid fit on that jacket. Looks great!
I'm in two minds. It'll be a long time before I order another jacket, but I like the idea of a button-up. I dol ike the flap on the top pocket, but equally a big part of the appeal of a top pocket with no zip is the ease of putting in, unobstructred by zip-rub, gloves and other things that might stick out. Whether the flap might get in the way is a consideration. Course, I'm also thinking goat, so probably easy to tuck if needsbe.
That's one reason why i choose the MAX in black ... - you can Combine it with almost every Thing - combined a White Shirt, black waistcoat 'n tie already yesterday which adds a pretty stylish look to the jacket
OK - almost not visible coz buttoned up but got some positive comments anyway
actually the lining of the sleeves is fully red with the rest in Lochcarron Tartan in red base-color
will drop some more pics Friday when i'm back home
Some pictures of a Mulligan being modelled here and a picture of a used example
Thee is a nice Size 44 in black waiting to be scooped up on the Aero sales pages
This style could easily be my only leather jacket...with tweaks of course.
Something like this without the belt:
Both the Maxwell and the Mulligan are great jackets and at the top of my list for my travel jacket, with a few mods
I saw it a while ago but I'm a 40 42, 44 is just too big for me... Cry
some Detail pics of the MAX
yeah - i like Color especially when combined with the black exterior
comparison of the "American cuff" to the "buttoned cuff" i have on my 1930 Premier halfbelt
Another mod was the waist got a 1" taper so i do not to pull-tight around the hips with the strings that much
I’m saving your specs on this. No immediate plans for one but if I go back. I’m asking for this build. Hope you don’t mind and I don’t want to chop your beef but this jacket nailed everything right down to the ground!
"Hello, Aero? I'll take a 4444 Special, please."
I feel flattered!
Well I think the possibility both of us showing up at the same pub or any other location at the same time wearing the same MAX is almost at 0% ...
So feel free but at least share some piccies if you ever order one ...
But if we do...Two man army!
If I got one it'd be in Brown FQHHCXL anyway so no worries
my preffered jacket since i got it ...
Really really nice and excellent choice and fit!
I love the design of the max as it can be dressed up or used casually. Only thing I'll change is to have a slightly smaller collar. But it looks great as it is.
