There are two of them here, the first is way out on the far west side and is a nice jazz place, this one I don't believe this spot is quite open yet.

I'm guessing it's an inner-loop version of the west side club.

When it's open I'll stop by.

Hope it's more authentic than a Philly Cheesesteak place in Texas.

The little prefab cheesteak place went out of business. (The were loading up the contents went I drove by)

My Mom & Dad (Plus all my family) are from Philly and the surrounding townships, I've had more hoagies & cheesteaks up there, than I can count.;)

There are a couple of places here run by ex-pat. Philly people that do a decent cheesesteak. (I won't even go in a place that has a sign that says "Philly Cheesteak")

I won't even get into the look I got at the local market, when I told the checkout girl what that package of Scrapple was made from.lol

Now I have to see when new local " :fedora: Lounge" opens.

I just got back from checking out the local Fedora Lounge.

They literally just opened, very nice vintage feel,(They have a 20's back bar they restored) nice people too, nice jazz to listen to......The owner has seen us here, and I told him to drop by.

I'll have to go by again with my camera.

OK what the hell is a cheese steak

shredded steak inside a sandwich bun, with onions, some other condiments, and cheese.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is known for these, hense "Philly cheesesteaks"

But someone from there can vouch for the sandwich better than I can!

Cheese Steak:

Very thinly sliced steak with onions & green peppers, grilled with olive oil, spices, and provolone cheese on long Italian bread.

Only a tourist goes to Pat's, or Geno's, in Philadelphia.......adding Cheese Whiz is an abomination in the neighborhood shops I go to, when I see my family up in Philadelphia.
