Are These WW2 Breeches?

Can anyone tell if this pair of US Army breeches is from the WW2 era? Before? After?

There are no markings of any kind inside. The pockets are HBT material. I couldn't find them listed in From Doughboy to GI

The wool is just like WW2 era Ike jackets I've had. Any ideas?

Nope.
Not breeches as in riding breeches.
Not American.
Post war, European climbing knickers.
German, Italian, Eastern European, something like that.
Something from The Sportsman's Guide.
