Bogey-Bacall Wedding

Here is a link to the house that Bogart & Bacall were married in. I visited there about 20 yr ago as a teenager. The place was frozen in time ( I think the web says '56). As an architect, I feel the place has had a freaky influence on what I think a domestic household ought to be.

It is in north central Ohio and open to the public.

Interesting! I never dreamed they were married in Ohio! I thought they probably tied the knot on the west coast.....

Interesting indeed. I wouldn't have guess they'd been married in Ohio either. The house looks warm and comfortable. I would have loved to see the pantrys and bath, and the curved library desk in the study is beautiful!

I've not been there in over 20 yr - but I remember now trhat they had the man's suits still hanging in the closet - I remember one was flannel pinstripe. Real linoleum in the kitchen and deep claw marks in the bottom door rail in the study where the boxers were penned-up. Worth a visit. It was a very intimate tour when I went thru.
