Friends, I've missed one too many silent film screenings out of sheer ignorance so I started a site that would help me keep track of them by helping others do the same.

Hey is the Silent Movie Theater on Fairfax still around? Used to go there all the time, especially back in the day when Laurence Austin was running it (which what happened to him and the theater back in 97 is an interesting, though sad story in itself)

I still have have a whole mess of silent films on videotape.

The silent movie theater is indeed still there and still called the silent movie theater though they hardly show and silents there any more. Pretty much only on Wednesdays now. And yeah, what happened to Austin still shocks me...it would make a good movie plot however. A silent movie in fact.
