Cartridge straigt razor ("shavette")

My frist shave today with a shavette from Solingen.

The handling was fine, but the blades (of unknown source) were horrible! Not sharp enough and far away from a sharp classic straight razor.

I managed to get the shave clean, but after the first round, I switched from the attached blade to a new blade from the 10pcs-package and finished the shave with another soap.

Next time, I will test the attached short blade!

The important advice for cartridge straight razor beginners:

Make sure to use your BEST shaving soap, giving you a rich, moisty and perfect gliding lather!

And use the SHORTER blade.
