I am new to the forum. I am most interested in finally nailing down the differences between the Christy's adventurer and the Akubra federation particularily.
To date, there have been many threads on these hats. However, I have to say that there are remarkably more negative remarks regarding Christy's than there are against Akubra.
I want to establish this thread to organize the info regarding Christy's Adventurer.
I have read that it deflates when hit with water, has shoddy ribbon work, a sweatband stitched in such a way that it irritates the forehead, and also that it uses cheaper felt that will not hold up to regular wear.
All folks out there with Christy Adventurer hats, please post the style of hat you own, followed by the positive and negative thoughts on that hat. If possible, add some
photos of your hat as well. Thank you.
