Composer Earle Hagen dies

We've lost a phenomenal talent best known for the theme from Andy Griffith and my favorite, Harlem Nocturne.

I won't let this thread go unacknowledged; Hagen was a brilliant and prolific composer. He (along with Golden Age stalwart Hugo Friedhofer) composed an original score for each of I SPY's 82 episodes. Hagen composed two-thirds of these. I'm glad that at least one volume of this wonderfully realized music (the original tracks, not the re-records) has made it onto CD.
