As a Christmas gift to the nation, the National Library of Australia has digitised and made available online early copies of one of our best loved magazines – The Australian Women’s Weekly.

The first 50 years of The Weekly, from its first issue on 10 June 1933 to when it changed into a monthly on 15 December 1982, can now be accessed by anyone interested in the social fabric of Australia throughout the 20th century.
