Those 7500’s look great, congrats!

Are your cordovan ones tight on the top of your toes, or pushing your toes together? If the pressure is on top, there’s some pretty easy fixes. Have you tried removing or replacing the leather insole?

Look at Wesco's 7500's in an E or EE. It will take some time

I agree with that, the majority of these boots appear to be more fashionable than functional. You would want something more durable for real farm or construction duty, but the soft-toed ones are comfortable enough for everyday wear.

Just ordered a pair of rolling dub trio gleaners and I cannot wait for them to come in. Saw some old ones awhile back and never could find black ones in my size. Until today.

Took a group picture of all my Engineers, they are from(left to right) Råland Bootmaker Maryam HH, CrushOnRetro 501 in their local cowhide and Bright Shoemakers/Wardrobe 19 Vulutres in brown CXL.

I usually rotate my boots/shoes so they aren't getting beated up fast, unlike some of you that actually seems to go outside in their boots haha.

Jokes aside I'm super happy with the lineup and I haven't really looked at any more engineers lately which is a good sign

Last thing is that I'm crazy impressed with the CrushOnRetro 501's! super well constructed, fits me like a glove(maybe better than my Rålands) and the local cowhide is super thick and really robust, if you told me it was CXL I would belive you no questions asked.

At 300usd I still think they are the most "bang for your buck"-engineers out there and I would recommend them to anyone looking for their first pair of engineers(or anyone just looking for another beater pair!)

Yes! Wearing them right now (waiting for my wife to come out of routine surgery). The fit is perfect (this is my second pair from them so I was fairly confident on that). The Maryam horse is lovely. I think it will roll and patina beautifully, though it will be a while before I put that many miles on them at this rate.

You've got great taste, man! Like you, I'm an avid engineer collector, with many of the top-tier Japanese brands, but the Crush on Retro 501 have had my attention for a couple of months. And now your ringing endorsement has me ready to buy a pair. May I please ask your Brannock size and how you sized your 501? For example, I'm a 9.5D Brannock (US), but generally go 1 full size down to 8.5D in most of my engineers. With CoR, I'm unsure if I should go 41 or 42. Their Size Guide metrics put me squarely at 41 but their Customer Service rep insists I opt for 42. My guess is they want to err on the side of roominess, hence why I'm curious how you sized. Thanks so much, and again, STUNNING collection!

Is this legit? Seems in the 'too good to be true' camp, though I seem to remember Chippewa were supposed to be ending production of their shorter boots, so could bed a clear-out of end of line?

I don't currently have a need for another pair of black EBs, but I know Chipps fit my foot well, and at this sort of reduction....
