I hope Parker doesn't mind, but I've taken some snaps of swaps he's sent me over the year and posted them up for people to have a better idea of the colours, under different lighting conditions. I've started a separate thread from the current FPH thread to make these photos easier to find in the future.

Left to right we have:

Sahara - Pecan - Brown - Moss Green - Charcoal Grey (I think this is supposed to be Dk Grey from the website as it's beaver)

For colour reference, the bottom is my Fed IV moonstone.

On page 3 of the Falcon Park Hattery thread there are pics of swatches and ribbon colors.

Yes, they're the same ones as from the FPH website. Unfortunately they don't give an indication of colour in different lighting, at least not to me. It leaves you wondering what colour it would look like in the sun, in the shade, indoors, what lighting was used in the swab picture, is it a camera colouring problem, etc.

Take Pecan, for example. Compare this hat to the swatch:

Or Sahara:

Nice reference DragonJade, it's good to see them in differing lights. I'm really liking that Moss Green, sort of in between my Bluegrass Green Campdraft and my Green Open Road.

Have you ordered with Falcon Park yet? I haven't, but am getting closer to it I think (seems to be the best bang for the buck in a Custom, though there are many other Hatters I'd also love to order from!)

Hi, T. I've got one in the works, and am thinking about another one or two, although I might go for a Christy's Foldaway Fedora in a Burma. It would be useful for when I'm travelling about in hot countries.

This is one with a 2 1/4" brim. The one I'm looking at has 2 1/2" (like the bottom two pictures), although I'm still not 100% sure on what the colour is in which situations, as you can see.

These swatches are not just for Falcon Park, just about all the custom hat makers use these same felts from Winchester.

It also seems to me that when looking at the colours on an actual hat, they tend to look rather different to the small swatches.

There are some great comparison shots of the different felt colours posted by rabbit in the Hall of Fame thread. Really helpful, especially for the lighter colours.
