Hey Historyteach. I ordered a beaver fedora from Parker in September, and just heard from him that it was sent to have brim binding done. Another two or so weeks, he said. Fingers crossed. He also said that his orders have picked up and he is behind on his lead times. FYI.
I will post pics of my hat when it arrives.

Often, yes.
Most of these smaller companies and single-man operations are run by guys who make their wares in their free time after their full time jobs.

That has always been his knock, he is a really good guy and he has made some ok hats, but his "guarantees" to have things delivered have caused some friction, and his wait times are always very long.

I also ordered at the end of September.This will be my 2nd hat from Parker.I love my 1st hat it was worth the wait.Be patient my friend The hat will come.

I do agree with you that he is a really good guy.But I disagree about his hats,mine is far better then just ok.I was never given a guarantee.I was told a estimate of how long it would be.I'm happy to wait.
