John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Certainly one of my gripes. I don't have IG, it's not a store and then what's the point in hosting a website? Not uncommon with other makers but still.I think the website is very out of date, you'll get a better view from Instagram.
Wow a thing of beauty! Does it have that new veg tanned leather smell? Here's a few. Really is a thing of beauty.
I agree with this. It is one of the reasons I bought from Aero b/c their website is so easy and convenient, coupled with excellent CS. I can explore what they offer and see my options. With other places, I need to email and may never get a response OR I need to call. Now I feel bummed if I don't buy from them. When they are charging so much, a more complete website would be welcomed.Certainly one of my gripes. I don't have IG, it's not a store and then what's the point in hosting a website? It has a nice smell, nothing too strong. It's the first jacket I've bought new and also first Shinki so I don't really have a comparison. I had one Iron Heart with Chrome Tanned Himeji and I do have one Schott with Horween HH and those 2 smelled completely different. Each nice in their own way.Wow a thing of beauty! Does it have that new veg tanned leather smell?
Also when I go to Japan in August, I seriously hope to explore and maybe pick up a shinki hikaku cafe racer. Just makes me feel better if I can nail down the fit when spending so much. Used is ok too! Thanks for sharing!
Screenshot or something for people without IG?In case anyone is looking for a deal, Greg posted a few size returns for sale on the Field Leathers Instagram story. Very good deals about half off retail if you find one that fits.
I just got one a couple weeks back, and luckily the one posted up today that I'm interested in is cut for someone taller and thinner in their midsection than me!

Far from an expert but... It's the only jacket he's accepting new orders from, at least in the website. This means that, on paper, it is easier to make them, specially if he gets orders for the same size, he just needs to cut and assemble panels in the same size and he doesn't accept custom measurements unlike other models. The leather is nothing exotic (not that it is bad quality per se). Now speculating further but this might just be a good selling jacket, so it might be worth keep accepting orders while closing on others as this one might be easier and cheaper to produce while making it a better return of investment.I'm having a look at the field leathers website, and his type II with Carl Murawski is about half the price of his other jackets. How is this even possible?
His latest type 2 can actually be made to measure for £100 extra, so still much less than his other jackets. But yes agreed that the leather is probably cheaper (not Shinki or badalassi, and chrome tanned)Far from an expert but... It's the only jacket he's accepting new orders from, at least in the website. Carl Murawski here. When I was working on this jacket with Greg we tried to keep cost as a top priority. Shinki or Badalassi leathers come at a premium, so a less famous leather was used. Also, Greg has Toni stitching a lot of these together so he can focus on some of the custom/complex orders.I'm having a look at the field leathers website, and his type II with Carl Murawski is about half the price of his other jackets. It's really important to me to make affordable alternatives for people. There are plenty of expensive options, but not much on the affordable side.
Hahaha! Wow that brings me back! Still on Spotify too.SEVER THE DRAMA
Take a photo of how the jacket fits youHe really does makes great jackets. Sadly thought I bought one that wasnt made to size to following regular sizing. Was adviced on one that was said to fit my measurements but didnt fit properly, so has just been collecting dust after a few wears. Looking forward to in the future order one with custom measurements for a proper fit
its fit as in too tight. Cant bend my arm properly, cant have it closed while moving my arms. Cant wear any type of bag on one or both shoulders cus its just too tight.Furu14
