@Will Zach Thanks very much. I've almost overlooked it. As much as I like it, the only thing is that the jacket isn't located in Europe (higher shipping cost and VAT+duty). Otherwise I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Mine vintage 60s is labeled 40 but it's a bit smaller, about 20.5" chest, I am 5'9" and 158lbs usually a 40R, it still fits me but I would have preferred one inch larger

 

Wow, that's an amazing looking design. I'll appreciate it from a distance, because I don't think I could see myself wearing it. You weren't kidding on the price!

Hence the name - Parrot - the '60's were a unique time, indeed.

I found one of these, but a simpler, all-beige/light brown leather in a small resale shop in Wheaton, IL back around 2004. East-West - yes that was the brand and the tag was similar. I bought it for like $12 at the shop, thinking it was a women's jacket (likley so). I only did as I could see the quality of the construction. Very well crafted, thick leather - un-finished inside as well. Then a friend saw & recoignized it as an East-West. He showed me that they were selling for several hundred dollars on ebay, which was still a farily new thing in those days. Since he had a selling account we made an ad up and it sold for ~ $385. I gave him a portion of the funds. It paid for quite a few meals as I was working my way through grad school!

 

I still need to find someone able to do a good job at these crazy designs, I would love this one

 

I'm no ornithologist, but these look more like geese than parrots!
But i agree that the "goose jacket" doesn't have the same ring...

Seller's using pics from the Goodwill auction he won the day jacket went up for sale here. Style ; )
EWMIC made so many cool jackets virtually none of which fit man. The details are hazy for me now but there was a time, when a "made in america" flag was sewn next to jacket's tag, where they were making jackets in real world sizes. Pretty sure there were some jackets made in Asia for awhile too.

I'm keeping this one for my boy who could not care less about it. Buffalo I think?

Yeah, the original are out of price, otherwise I would be buying them at any size to reproduce the patterns!
