This is almost exactly what I’ve been looking for to “complete” my little collection. Two things keep me away. It’s the wrong size, and it’s been pretty heavily modified. After reading the description the changes were more apparent. Great jacket though.

The leather looks like the HH on my early 60s Cascade, about the nicest HH I've handled. A little rich with the price considering the mods, still make a nice jacket especially for riding

A bit steep for me for sure, but Langlitz hold value pretty well. I’d say $500-800 really is the norm. With some outliers on each side of the spread. I did own a 50s Langlitz and the hide was spectacular. Like this jacket. Other Langlitz I have owned had less stellar hide. And then their fit is always a challenge.

SJC / Cathcart Grizzly, advertised as a "46", but on communication with the seller (learned to do that the hard way...), I think it's actually a 40-42, as 46" is the chest measurement of the actual jacket itself. Langlitz rarely uses HH, and when they do, they ask for a huge upcharge, hence the price. Given the condition and the looks of the jacket, I think the price is fair.

Very cool looking Langlitz. Those burnished edges really make it pop.
But the custom balloon gussets look like it was made for someone who might be thinking of being pregnant, might be pregnant or is pregnant.
