Five Star Leather Jackets

Yes. Same slap-nuts. Now he just rants to his meager IG following about the ills of this place which is apparently all he thinks about.
OK, that explains a lot, and in the only interaction I had with ‘KBlake/AeroLover’ he came across as a rather bizarre and confused individual.
After receiving a new Sunburst jacket from Aero Leather he made a number of posts in a very short space of time in the ‘How Many Of You Guys Ordered From The Aero Sale ?’ thread. In these he went from being ‘over the moon’ with the jacket to accusing Aero of ‘screwing him’ over the length of the sleeves. And then, after liaising with them, he said ‘it makes me feel a lot better about this purchase’, but followed this up with ‘Either way, this is woefully short.’
Also, taking just a few minutes he somehow managed to successfully stretch the sleeves on his new leather jacket.

As his latest Instagram posts show he’s certainly one very strange, not to say, bitter person.

We are all guilty of it to some extent, but that dude is pathological in his buying and selling of jackets. As Ton says, the sad part is that even the chase doesn’t seem to bring him joy. He’s miserable and constantly selling jackets he just bought because they can’t fill the could in his life.

I actually feel sorry for the guy at this point. He obviously reads here and sees he’s the a$$ end of the joke. His only recourse is to shout at a couple bot and **** made leather shops on IG.
Pretty sad. I’m surprised anyone here would follow his account, but there is some humor in it I guess, fully at his expense. I don’t follow or read his ramblings but those that do send me his nonsense, and it never disappoints.

you lot seem a lot more obsessed with kblake or "authentic style" than the other way around. Several pages dedicated to speaking about him and stalking his IG.

It’s 2026 man. The first day of the new year and all you want to talk about is kblake? Now that’s what I call obsessed.
Im in NZ which is a whole day ahead of you. Hes on your mind a lot more than mine as the last few pages can attest. Just don't appreciate incessant gossiping about a man who isn't here to defend himself. It seems ignoble, or possibly a sign of low testosterone levels. There are pills for the latter issue, but the former is probably harder to fix.

I'm impartial to this whole thing, but factually, the dude has access here to defend himself if he wanted. He has clearly made several replies on Instagram. He also has no issues using this forum to purchase items from classified when it suits him (under his third account name here - Authenticstyle).

Which incidentally, he was here 30 minutes ago looking at buco for sale ;)

Enough.

This is the 5* Thread. Or at least it used to be.

No more about KBlake, Aero Lover or Authentic Style or whatever name he was using here or might be using on another site. Just stop with it.

I have locked the thread to give everyone time to see this message. If I forget to unlock it after a day or two, please send me a DM to remind me.

View attachment 646697 View attachment 646698 View attachment 646699 View attachment 646700 View attachment 646702 I have the following 5 star jackets
RW 23380 in reddish brown size 46
RW 27752 in mid brown size 46
Monarch 23378 in reddish brown size 44
The last two purchased were the reddish brown ones and they were actually full grain and the leather is beautiful. Be aware that you will loose 1” in length from shrinkage. So when you order be sure to add an extra inch to what you are wanting.
Hi, so the first 2 and last 2 are reddish brown horse? I was looking at the 1930s half belt and wanted something mostly brown with a bit of red undertones and this seems perfect. The brandy is too burgundy. Hows the comfort and heft if you don't mind me asking?

The only 5* in my collection is the newest version of their A-1, which uses an updated pattern and a capeskin that is very, very good for the cost of the jacket. While it's not perfect (buttons are too large, collar did not have backing buttons), it's a LOT of jacket for the money. Especially when you compare ELC A-1 prices.

Since receiving the jacket, I've replaced the buttons with horn buttons that are more accurately sized (to what originals used and what Eastman uses) and removed the 5* manufacturer and care labels from the jacket. The tagged sizing is way off on 5*'s size chart, so I asked Shawn to please install a size 42 label (instead of 36) and he was happy to do so. I'm not sure if I will sew the patch in the photos below on the jacket yet, but here's how it appears after the modifications.

Excellent work with the sewing of those buttons. The thread is nice also. I was wondering where you got both the buttons and the thread.

Thank you sir. The buttons were purchased from Mood Fabrics. They carry a decent selection of real horn buttons in varying sizes. The 19mm outer buttons were the closest in size to the outer buttons on ELC's A-1. The olive linen thread (shown in the last photo) is NOS thread (40's era, I believe) that came in a lot of military items that included a bunch of NOS thread, buttons, a sewing kit etc, that I purchased several years ago.
