Hatbox Homage

A couple of auction hats unexpectedly arrived in this box. None of them a Pilgrim. Wish they had put it into a shipping box and not taped it and glued a label to it … oh well.

In the interest of equal exposure of defunct major catalogers, I present this 1967 Montgomery Ward shipping box.

J. Hückel´s Söhne internal Wooden Frame Cardboard Box possibly later 1920s. I had been looking for one of these for many years. I found this back in 2023 but never posted it here. The box included a mint condition J. Hückel´s Söhne "Plume" Stiff Felt.

Here are similar J. Hückel´s Söhne internal Wooden Frame Carboard Boxes but from the early 1900s.

The original box from an 1850s top hat, sold in Buffalo and generously "returned home" by one of our long time members from the Pacific Northwest. Apologies if I have shared this one before. The box is a simple paper construction in rough shape but the teal blue pigment is stunning. The hat itself is in remarkable condition for its age and travels.
