When I arrived home tonight from a terrible day in my life I found my 3 headscarves in my mailbox! Yay! Thanks, pigeon toe. Not that I have 3 heads. (Sorry, bad jokes cheer me up.) They will be too cute with my new hairdo. The package says GEMS by GEORGE. Who knows, but it's cool.

Yay, I got my scarf from pigeontoe too! The weather is horribly non-stop rainy here at the moment, so it's really perfect timing. I may even wear a plastic hood underneath, like old ladies.

Bandanas and headbands...oh my!

I was just looking at a picture of rosie the riveter, and I love the way her headband is tied!

I just cut my hair very short (to my jaw, like in my avatar, and naturally curly) and I want new ways to use headbands and bandanas, especially the way Rosie has it. However, I can never figure out what to do with the rest of my hair when a headband goes in, and I'm not sure how to tie the bandana.

I would be grateful if any of you ladies could help me out!

I went on holiday to China recently and wore a Rosie-the-riveter style headscarf often - we had no mirrors and it was perfect for everyday.

i actually do it really often, it's so perfect for bad hair or lazy days. I like to wear a bandana with a neat top knot with capri-pants or jeans and a big, blousy chiffon one with a big bow with skirts. It's ideal for camping as you don't need a mirror. I either have my fringe down or quiff it. I also wear it headband style without covering the whole hair too.
