Hi everyone,

I've been reading the threads here for a while and finally decided it was time to officially join the ranks!

I’m a huge enthusiast of vintage clothing, with my main passion being military history and garments—specifically WW1 and WW2 uniforms. I spend a lot of my time researching historical fabrics, construction techniques, and the incredible details that went into early 20th-century service dress and field gear.

I actually turn a lot of this research into practice. I run a project called Paddelaters where we specialize in creating authentic military reproductions for collectors and reenactors. However, I'm mainly joining because I know this community is an absolute goldmine of knowledge when it comes to vintage tailoring, authentic materials, and classic style.

I've already learned so much just from reading past threads on wool weights and garment construction, and I'm really looking forward to jumping into the discussions.

What specific eras or vintage pieces are you all currently obsessed with researching or collecting?

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Best, VintageDrab
