After lovingly applying some lotion to my 60 year old G-1, like a fool of fools, I accidentally picked up the collar by the mouton and subsequently tore a little piece of the collar right off:
You cannot really see the hole looking from the rear when the collar is up or down, unless you are looking at it from the right angle (see pictures below). So my question is, should I try to glue the tuft of wool back on the collar, or leave it as is? The wool tuft has come a little loose, so it won't look quite the same as the rest of the wool. I am also unsure what effect glue would have on the leather. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
