Certainly from a technical perspective, Carlos' notes here make a lot of sense. There are indeed times for synthetics, and this is the time of year my leathers see very little use.

There is a member here who has backpacked in his leather jacket, Frankley I could not imagine it!

If your set on wearing leather outdoors when it is hot and humid, I would suggest none of the above.
An unlined deerskin garment that has contact with as much of your skin as possible to pull moisture away would be a much better choice.

The Lesco and the Vsnson are wsy too modern for my tastes, sk for ne that would leave the Johnson by default. I prefer no handwarner pockets on this style, though. As to climte suitability, that will likely vary with individual.
